I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working with both current life problems as well as longer-term issues. Based in North London N19 I work with clients from diverse and international backgrounds and have particular experience working with mood, anxiety as well as identity and family related issues.
Alongside my private practice, I have worked as a placement counsellor with the NHS (IAPT), ward volunteer at the Highgate Mental Health Centre and bereavement counsellor with Caris Islington. Through these roles I have been able to work with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, physical/mental health, stress, self-harm, work related issues, as well as chronic mental health conditions, autism and learning difficulties in my role as a support worker.
I have an integrative approach, combining person-centred and psychodynamic models, to explore both present as well as past relationships and experiences, and how they have shaped us. Believing in our innate potential for growth and change, I have a calm and compassionate style, working collaboratively to your pace and goals. A registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I am guided by an ethical framework that puts you and your wellbeing at the heart of our work.
