Experience and Qualifications

I’m a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor (CPCAB Dip) and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), guided by an ethical framework that puts you and your wellbeing at the heart of the work. My approach is integrative, combining person-centred and psychodynamic models, to explore both present as well as past relationships and experiences and how they have shaped us.

As a counsellor with the NHS, ward volunteer at the Highgate Mental Health Centre and bereavement counsellor with Caris Islington, I have worked with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, physical/mental health, stress, self-harm, work related issues, as well as chronic mental health conditions, autism and learning difficulties in my role as a support worker.

Through my journey and work on mental health wards and as a support worker, I am familiar and passionate about working with the particular challenges as well as resilience of long-term mental health conditions. Thanks to my tutors, fellow students and work with clients I have become able to appreciate how everyone’s personality, life and challenges are individual and unique, and I continue to be curious to learn and understand the intricacies of our minds and social relationships.

Alongside my passion for psychology and mental health, with an MA in Sound Arts and a Bachelor of recording arts, I have worked in a variety of environments from Music studios to Post-Production and the Broadcasting industry and I am familiar with the challenges and rewards of both.
